PRAYERS FOR UNITY AMONG CHRISTIANS

O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, the Prince of Peace; Give us grace seriously to lay to heart the great dangers we are in by our unhappy divisions. Take away all hatred and prejudice, and whatsoever else may hinder us from godly union and concord: that as there is but one Body and one Spirit, and one hope of our calling, one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of us all, so we may be all of one heart and of one soul, united in one holy bond of truth and peace, of faith and charity, and may with one mind and one mouth glorify you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord of the Universe,
According to your majestic plan, you have set all things in a balance and have placed love at the center of all time and place. You are love. You are the center of our universe and you are the center of our lives. Heal our divisions and help us to avoid anything that would stand in the way of your divine order. Bless your people, all creatures, and all living things. Amen.

PRAYER FOR CHRISTIANS AND JEWS

Blessed are you O Lord,
In You we move and have our being. You called your people out of slavery and made of them a royal people, a holy nation, a people set apart. Bless all Jews and Christians as we proclaim You as the One True God. May our Jewish and Christian dialogue always be directed to your command: To love You above all things and to love one another.. Lord Almighty, hear our prayer. Amen.

Loving God,
Your Church has been divided too long. But from your view, we are still one. Help our communion to be realized. May the Eastern and the Western Church breath twogether, like two lungs of the same Body, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen.
