REYNOLDS, John, Educated in Carlow 1885-1890, ordained in 1890 for Los Angeles, Died 30-06-1924

Sister Rose Marie, Isp, Little Sisters of the Poor, San Pedro, CA
“In response to your request for information about Rev. John Reynolds, I regret to inform you that we were not able to find much. We found the following information in our Foundation Book”:

“On June 30, 1924, we awaited our chaplain for Mass when the “servant” called us. In his unfathomable designs, the Divine Master had called Rev. John Reynolds to himself. The sudden death of our chaplain was sad news for the residents. After informing the Bishop, he made the funeral arrangements. The Funeral was in our chapel on July 2nd. The Bishop celebrated the Mass that was sung by several Priests. Many religious and visitors attended the service. The Bishop also went to the cemetery. Numberless prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of Fr. John. He is much regretted by our residents.”
