Catholic Relief Services
from a parish level

The World View Committee of St. Rose of Lima Parish responds to the needs of the poor throughout the world by participating on a parish level with the Catholic Relief Society (CRS). The committee aims to empower parishioners to “fulfill their moral responsibilities toward our global brothers and sisters by helping the poor, working to remove the causes of poverty, and promoting social justice”. (CRS Website). In addition to working with CRS, the committee helps the on-going work of CondorSoul - an outreach to the Peruvian homeland of our patroness, St. Rose of lima.

Working with CRS

The World View Committee promotes the recommendation of CRS as it applies to parish participation. Our parish committee participates with CRS through areas of:

Advocacy
Campaigns
Fair Trade
Food Security
Immersion Programs

Working with Condor Soul

The World View Committee assists the parish as it participates in the Condor Soul mission to Peru, the homeland of St. Rose of Lima.

Committee Meetings & Minutes

The World View Committee includes the pastor (ex-oficio president), Deacon Charlie Frice (chair), and six parishioners. The committee meets on the 2nd Friday of February, April, June, August, October and December. The committee gathers on other occasions to respond to global natural disasters. Parishioners who are not on the committee are invted to attend the meetings and offer input and suggestions.
