Every 1st,2nd & 3rd Wednesday from 6:00PM-7:30PM, Parish Hall
All middle school teens (6-8th Grade) are invited to our Monday night “Edge Nights” in the parish hall. The flow of the Edge Night is Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send- similar to the flow of the Mass (Introductory Rite, Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and Concluding Rite). During the night, the teens gather in fellowship over a ice breaker, enjoy games and activity, hear a teaching of the Catholic Church, break open the topic of the night in small group discussion, and are sent out on a weekly challenge of prayer and/or evangelization.
Each night is meant to build community and lead teens closer to Christ. Edge Nights help teens to be better Catholic and future Catholic leader.
Types of Edge Night:
Check calendar for Edge Nights.
- Catechetical Edge Night follows the USCCB’s semester theme and breaks open a particular doctrine and teaching of the Catholic faith.
- Issue Edge Night breaks open real world issue that teens deal with (i.e. identity, gossip, chastity, etc.) These nights help teens see how the Catholic faith is relevant to every aspect of their lives.
- Social Edge Nights helps build community and friendship.
- XLT Edge Nights begins with praise and worship followed by a dynamic talk. After the dynamic talk, we come before the Blessed Sacrament in the time of adoration with praise and worship.
